Artwork
My paintings fall into two series of work and are painted in a variety of media. One series explores global interconnection, both past and present. A second series reflects landscapes from the Black Hills Region of South Dakota as well as from my travels. My watercolor paintings on Ampersand Archival Claybord are created with numerous glazes of color and are eventually completed with a glossy permanent watercolor varnish.
This finish allows the watercolor paintings to be displayed without glass. In addition to painting on Claybord, I also paint with watercolor and ink on Yupo paper, traditionally rendered watercolor on paper, and with water-soluble oil on canvas or panel.
